I like to have fun but admittedly I also have to push myself to get out of my comfort zone sometimes, especially when it comes to doing outdoorsy things.  A couple of years ago when my son turned 13, I decided that was the perfect reason for me to step out and do something I'd always wanted to do and also give my son a fun birthday gift.  After doing my usual ridiculous amount of research, I found eXplore Brown County and had a good feeling about it.  I'm so glad I trust my instincts!  Although it did take a while to actually get going, checked in, geared up, and out to the zips, it was well worth it.  It actually made me feel better that they took their time, double checked things, and made us feel safe.  The crew were funny, caring, and knew exactly how to give a little push to a reluctant first timer.  I even got up the courage after the first couple of zips to do the over 1200 foot (downhill) zip where I felt as free as a bird and and had more fun than I'd had in a long time.  eXplore is nestled in the woods right next to Brown County Park and the scenery is stunning (especially during fall when the leaves are turning their beautiful fall colors).  They are also open in the winter and they say that's one of the most amazing times to go for a breathtaking ziplining experience in the snow.  I highly recommend a trip down to Nashville to let loose and have some fun any time of the year!
