Indianapolis Baroque Orchestra
Indianapolis
I won't beat around the bush, I love classical music but my favorite is from the baroque period. I alway loved classical music, ever since I was young and have frequented these concerts. Not only do they showcase some instruments not very well known to most but they play in historical landmarks and at different venues around the city. These are seasoned musicians and you can tell they truly love playing this style of music. If you get a chance, please check them out and support them at indybaroque.org.

Faculty Artist Concert Series at University of Indianapolis
Indianapolis
Some of the most unique concerts I've seen in Indy were actually performed by the faculty at the University of Indianapolis. The professors from the school of music are amazingly gifted and knowing a couple of them personally, I can tell you they are some of the most passionate and creative musicians I've met. These concerts are FREE which makes these great if you're on a budget but want to catch some simply wonderful music in the city. You can find their seasonal offerings at uindy.edu.
